This is a Century version AK lower handguard. (Not the US Importer Century), but the new AK-100 models made in Russia

AMD Lower Handguard

This is a AMD lower handguard. There is a hole and loop on this part to let the AMD pistol grip connect with the lower handguard
(see the loop just above the letter ‘A’ in the picture to the right)

Romanian Lower Handguard with Vertical Grip
From underfolder stock Romanian AK47

This is a Romanian version of the lower handguard. This could not be used on a pistol because it would make the pistol an SBR (short barreled rifle) This style came from the underfolder version of the Romanian AK47

Lower Handguard Heat Shield

These heat shields help keep direct heat off the the handguards stopping them from melting. These are not used on all lower handguards

Lower Handguard Retainer

Also called the barrel band. This is a part that holds the lower handguard in place and lets the locking lever lock it into place. There’s a hole for the cleaning rod (not all lower handguards have the hole though)

The AK74 versions have their front sling on this part

Locking Lever

This is the lever that hold the lower handguard in place
